SHELTON, everything to do with the internet

Analyst Programmer

Spinnaker

Web based business systems

Senior Analyst Software Developer

An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and ambitious software developer to join our software team, who are now supporting in excess of 150 business and public sector clients across multiple sectors and web based technologies, from front-end websites to back office payroll and accounting.

The successful candidate will report to and work for the technical director and be delegated full lifecycle responsibility for software development projects, with direct client contact and authority to lead other technical staff.

There is also, as to be expected with so many clients, a healthy dose of software support and change control programming, making the role ideal for a developer who enjoys variety and fresh challenges on a daily basis.

Shelton Internet is a technical service provider whose mission is to provide very reliable, intelligently designed and effective business systems for clients who do not have the in house skills and resources.  In practice, this has enabled the company to secure clients as diverse as the familiar small businesses selling goods online to a police force payroll system, major national charity ecard system and global shipbroking research database.

There are 10 permanent staff, of whom 9 are technical, either software or support orientated.  There are no account managers and everybody plays a role in running the company, talking to clients and managing the deliverable results.

Under the auspices of the Spinnaker Alliance, the company has been growing strongly for the past 2 years and expects to turnover more then £1M in its next financial year, operating out of offices in Suffolk (systems development and support) and London (web production).

You must be a team player with strong analytics skills and experience and at least 3 years relevant technical experience and a proven track record of multiple projects delivered in a commercial environment, preferably having worked for more then one company.
